

Sheona McDonald
Sheona has produced, directed and written a number of documentary and short dramatic productions, both under her own banner and for other production companies.
Sheona was showrunner on the last season of Border Security: America's Front Line and is currently directing and series producing a 4-part documentary series for OmniFilm.
Sheona had the pleasure of directing Dead Man's Switch a crypto mystery, which she also wrote and produced; and Into Light. , Sheona finished producing the film Candice and a shorter documentary A Short Essay on Men.
She also directed Season II of the popular documentary series Emergency Room: Life and Death at VGH for Knowledge Network & supervising the production of fifty short films for web distribution, and she directed several episodes of the popular series Love it or List it Vancouver.

She was nominated for a Gemini Award for her writing of Capturing a Short Life; and won a Canadian Screen Award for writing When Dreams Take Flight.

Beyond filmmaking, Sheona can be find running in the trails or jumping into the ocean, reading, travel, cooking and trying new things. She is also a mom to three fabulous teenagers.

Sheona is dedicated to diversity, creativity and projects that inspire her to keep going. She has recently completed a dramatic screenplay, Back by Midnight and has just wrapped up draft number one of her first novel Inferno.

Ultimately the goal is to find creative challenges and work on good projects with good people!
